You can adjust the flow on the waste line by adjusting the flush valve. If you crack that valve slightly, when you want to condense steam, you will increase the pressure and flow on your waste line. You will be making slightly less RO water if you do so, but it alleviates the flow issue you...

Flow rate was reduced slightly due to the decrease in pressure to the dirty side of the membrane. No change in TDS. I always get 1 or 2 ppm out of the membrane, but I have pretty soft water. YMMV.
